David Olvera was our 2026 recipient and shared his story of overcoming the obstacle of influence. When you are negatively impacted by those around you, it is okay to move forward and find your better people. David will be going to the University of Oregon - Go Ducks!

Camden Roofener was our recipient for 2025. After watching his mom courageously battle cancer, he used it as motivation to achieve his goals and light his fire. Camden now wrestles at Linfield College, and on the National Stage across the US.

Averie Duyck’s story is one of selfless effort and an ambition to go into education. She wants to help facilitate IEPs in schools and be an advocate for our youth. This was also the first time since its inception, that Martin’s dad was able to be in person to present.

Going back to school is tough. So why not go back in style? The NittyStrong Foundation outfitted 30 students in the local area with school supply filled backpacks so they could kick off the year right.

With Covid19 keeping our traditional method of selection shut down, we took to social media to find a recipient of the 2nd Annual NittyStrong Scholarship. Aspen Amador of Commerce City (Thornton HS) would be our recipient. She plans to pursue Business at The University of New Mexico in the fall.

Manual High School Baseball

Denver, CO - February 2020

An inner-city baseball program with little to no funding, was nominated due to their mentality of “Do Not Quit”. With members on the team that are in their first or second year of experience, have bound together with the support of their coach and his wife, to put adversities aside to find success.

The 7U Rhinos are a softball team in Las Cruces who give it their all on the field. Our board felt it necessary to help them keep up the sprit at they head into the rest of their season.

NittyStrong Graduation Celebration Grant 2020

2020 was a year that nobody expected to turn as it did. Covid19 would hit the US and practically shut down the world as we knew it. Falling victim to this was our graduating class of 2020. The NittyStrong Foundation felt it was our duty to provide a grant to a deserving Senior to put toward their graduation party. After many submissions we unanimously selected Syon Blackmon.

This hard-working squad receives no money from the school and depends solely on parental support. They are active in the community while maintaining high academic standards. Our cash grant allowed for full team participation.

Ingelwood Middle School JV Tennis

We provided 8 cases of tennis balls to the JV Tennis Team. This is a No-Cut team which allows kids of all skill levels the opportunity to participate without fear of not making a team.

Gabriel Tsui would be our first ever NittyStrong Scholarship recipient. A student graduating at Martin’s High School (Glencoe) and will be pursuing journalism at the University of Oregon.
