Welcome to NittyStrong

We are a Non Profit built in memory of our Son, Martin, who passed away from lymphoma in 2019.

Martin was an avid Denver Broncos Fan, and even met Peyton Manning. He was most importantly, a football fan. Aside from the various Scholarships, Grants, and Gifts we’ve given in his memory (over $20,000) one mission we are personally completing is seeing a game in all of the NFL Stadiums.

Martin made it to 5 of them, including Seattle, Denver, Cincinnati, San Francisco (for SB50) and lastly, Buffalo. We are taking Martin’s little sister, Marley, to the rest of them.

The NFL Stadiums

We thought it would be fun to share our journey with you; the stadiums are about the connections and experiences.

Stadiums We’ve Visited: Seahawks, Broncos, 49ers, Bengals, Bills, Packers, Bears, Cardinals, Vikings, Colts.

Stadium #10 - Lucas Oil Stadium

City
Indianapolis, IN

Date
August 11th, 2024

Indianapolis Colts v. Denver Broncos

We road tripped from Milwaukee, WI to Indianapolis.

There’s not a lot going on once you leave Illinois and go over the Indiana. However, there is one of the biggest gummy bear stores in the world. Shoutout to Albanese and the bears they’re making.

If you know anything about Indy, you know they are famous for their Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. Share it, because it’s too much for one stomach.

Mid tailgate scene, stadium is legendary because you know Peyton Manning ran things there. Fans were awesome!

Would you believe that we met a group of Canadian Broncos fans? Broncos Eh?

Stadium #9 - State Farm Stadium

City
Glendale, AZ

Date
November 26th, 2023

Arizona Cardinals v. LA Rams

Arizona was a good stadium, if you like sunshine.

We road tripped this one with my parents as they live in the SW. The biggest and best surprise was the free tailgate that occurs on the turf just oustide of the stadium. It included a live band, tons of entertainment for the kiddo, and all the food/drink options you could ask for.

State Farm Stadium is another one that is built just right. There isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Plenty of parking and there is a fun walk into the stadium that takes you through a tunnel.

Arizona is great, if you like sunshine.

Cool stuff just happens, like seeing Big Red when walking into the stadium.

Things To Do:

Chandler Mall = Go Karts

Tailgate on the Grass

Stadium #8 - US Bank Stadium

City
Minneapolis, MN

Date
September 24th, 2023

Minnesota Vikings v. LA Chargers

I think it’s the second that the fans throw their hands in the air and start chanting “SKOL” and then the beat of the drum sounds off that you want to grab a set of pads, run on the field, and help the Vikings take over.

I didn’t want Minnesota to be as epic as it was, but it simply was. The stadium is gorgeous, it will take your breath away.

Tailgating was top notch, super warm community.

Plus, the light rail runs you right to the front steps of the stadium, you can’t go wrong.

Minnesota was the best.

The Tailgating was next level (surprisingly) in Minnesota.

Stadium #7 - Soldier Field

City
Chicago, IL

Date
August 25th, 2022

Chicago Bears v. Houston Texans

Chicago was a heck of an experience.

In all honesty not my favorite stadium to get to. You have to park in downtown Chicago, and then the most efficient way to get down to Soldier Field is by bus. So you hop on a bus with tons of Bears fans, and ride in yellow school fashion.

I will say that the Windy City backdrop might be one of the perks.

Lots of food in the city that you need to try.

All gameday, no fun.

That Bus in the photo… we rode on to get to the game.

Stadium #6 - Lambeau Field

City
Green Bay, WI

Date
September 22nd, 2019

Green Bay Packers v. Denver Broncos

Green Bay was the first stadium we saw as a newfound family of 3. In honor of Martin’s birthday, we took a trip from Denver, where we were living at the time - to Green Bay, Wisconsin.

There was so much to love about our stay in Milwaukee, and the atmosphere that was Lambeau FIeld. Growing up I was a Packer fan, and being there without Martin, really got to me.

There was a classic downpour, so we wore ponchos, and made the best of the time we had there.

This was MY favorite stadium thus far.

Go Pack Go!

Classic football stadium, bleachers, not seats.

Stadium #5 - New Era Field

City
Orchard Park, NY

Date
September 24th, 2017

Buffalo Bills v. Denver Broncos

Let’s Go Buffalo! Sadly this was Martin’s last stadium, before passing in 2019. We even had his grandparents with us to celebrate.

Up until now we had never splurged on front row seats, but it was definitely worth it. There’s nothing like a tailgate in Buffalo with BILLS MAFIA, or heading to Duff’s Wings after a game.

Do yourself a favor and cross the border, Toronto is wild!

Skipped Homecoming and sat Front Row.

Things To Do:

Take Shots Out of a Bowling Ball

Niagra Falls

Stadium #4 - Paul Brown Stadium

City
Cincinnati, OH

Date
September 25th, 2016

Cincinnati Bengals v. Denver Broncos

Football stadiums became a birthday tradition for Martin. In lieu of gifts that a normal kid would want as a teenager, we saved up and gave him long weekend birthday trips.

Cincy was filled with visiting local food joints, partaking in Cincinnati Chili from Skyline, and enjoying the waterfront.

“Who Dey, Who Dey, Who Dey think gonna beat them Bengals? NOOOOBODY!”

And don’t forget to visit the Football Hall of Fame in Canton.

Stadium #3 - Levi’s Stadium

SUPER BOWL 50

City
Santa Clara, CA

Date
February 7th, 2016

Denver Broncos v. Carolina Panthers

Super Bowl 50 was in Santa Clara. At the time, we lived in Portland, OR and so as things came to fruition, we knew we had to roadtrip down there.

After pulling out what felt like a small mortgage, we got the tickets.

Levi’s Stadium is planted in the middle of a tech center, so out of nowhere comes a big football field. Looking back on it, the stadium as gorgeous and clean, but we were exteremely distracted because of the occasion.

The Broncos would win, gold flakes fell, and the California sunset fell over the ocean. Levi’s was a moment.

Forever 24-10.

Stadium #2 - Sports Authority Field

City
Denver, CO

Date
October 5th, 2014

Denver Broncos v. Arizona Cardinals

Denver was breathtaking.

There is something about setting the bar so high right out of the gate that almost ruins anything else going forward. Denver was most definitely that way.

The tailgating scene is top notch, the noise, the sea of orange, or hearing them chant “In-Com-Plete” for missed throws, and stomping on the ground for “Thunder” on third downs, it’s hard to match Sports Authority FIeld.

If you ever get a game, make sure to visit LOT C and say hi to Flagman & the Bronco Gang. They know how to party.

Got close enough to see the future MVP in person, Von Miller.

Things To Do:

See the Blue Bear

Red Rocks

Aquarium

Tailgate in Lot C

Things To Eat:

Bubba Gumps

Rush Bowls

Dinner @ Elways

Cherry Cricket

Stadium #1 - Century Link Field

City
Seattle, WA

Date
August 17th, 2013

Seattle Seahawks v. Denver Broncos

Seattle was done on a whim, we lived in Portland, OR at the time and as soon as we knew the Broncos were coming to town, we had to get the tix. A football fan my entire life, this was not only Martin’s 1st Stadium, but mine as well.

Seattle was filled with fun, including Duck Boats, the Space Needle, and of course, Starbucks.

Little did we know the landslide this would start.

We were now official football fans.

Photos shot on a Nikon camera (back in the day), also, see the sign? He predicted it!

Things To Do:

Pike Place Market

Space Needle
